Hydrocarbon Solvent SP D100
SP D100
DEAROMATIZED HYDROCARBON SOLVENT
SP D100 is a clear, low-aromatic hydrocarbon solvent supplied by Shri Parth Petrochem for industrial formulation and process applications. Its reported sample viscosity of 2.360 cSt at 40°C and boiling interval of 235.3–268.0°C make it a candidate for applications requiring a fluid hydrocarbon carrier with controlled evaporation.
Product highlights
- Clear and bright appearance; reported Saybolt colour +30.
- Aromatic content: maximum 01% by weight; reported sample 0.005%.
- Total sulphur specification: maximum 5 ppm by
- Lower viscosity and boiling range than SP
Potential applications
Metal cleaning and degreasing — Evaluate for removing compatible oily soils where its drying profile and residue performance are acceptable.
Metalworking and rolling-oil formulations — Evaluate as a hydrocarbon carrier alongside the selected lubricity and performance additives.
Coatings, inks and adhesives — Consider in compatible resin systems where its evaporation profile fits the drying process.
Industrial chemical formulations — Evaluate as a carrier or diluent after checking solubility and finished-product stability.
Applications are evaluation opportunities, not blanket performance approvals. Confirm compatibility, drying behaviour and end-use requirements before commercial use.

How to evaluate and use
Begin with a laboratory trial using the actual resin, additives and substrate. Select the addition level for the formulation; no universal dosage applies. Check clarity, separation, viscosity, drying time and residue, then validate the result in a controlled production trial.
